I didn’t judge you and it’s nothing personal, but I have judged the .ml instance admins and mods and the culture they try to cultivate.
I have enjoyed and upvoted your content on non-.ml instances, if you truly aren’t a tankie and do not share the views of your instance admins and many of the mods there then I invite you to also only post content and comments to non-.ml communities as well.
They’re hardcore Tankies who have no issues removing any comments and banning you for being critical of China, Russia, NK or bringing up things like the genocides China has/is doing or the fact the Russia attacked Ukraine completely unprovoked.
Tankies, yes 1000%, it’s a known fact and problem and also why your “I didn’t know .ml was all about that, I just signed up” is actually fairly common because they promote it as a default instance. It’s also quite common that new Lemmy users who signed up on .ml often switch their accounts to another instance or sadly leave and just never come back after they learn it’s true nature.
And also, Tankie != Communist/Socialist, Tankies more promote the bastardized authoritarianism-based flavor of “communism” That China/Russia love hence the whole “China/Russia are the victims of US imperialism and have done no wrong!!!”
