That’s why I do the cooking. I know what I want, and how I like it. Win-win for everyone.

Yeah exactly. I like cooking and she always acts like im doing a favour when I cook, which is cool.

She’s good at cooking other things but when it comes to vegetables I am much better at preparing them in a way that doesn’t suck mega ass.

Oooh…any chance you suggest roasted vegetables? It’s easy and pretty fools proof assuming you don’t burn them.

Well my preferences are: vegetable soup, steamed veggies, or raw veggies with homemade sauce. I’m not really a roasted vegetables guy, but if they were done right I might like them. I’ve been experimenting with veggie tempura but I fucked it up last time so now I’m wary.

Tempura is good, but it’s still fried.

Try some Indian and other ethnic ways to prepare vegetables. American veg only ever seems to come steamed, boiled, or grilled with some seasoning, or sauce that makes it fatty. Ethiopian comes to mind as well. Ethnic dishes can make veg into a meal, not just a side. I’m not suggesting vegan or vegetarianism, just ways to make some really amazing flavors with veg.

Yeah I’m not a fan of any of those types of preparation. I’ve worked in a lot of camps and LOA jobs where I’ve had to learn how to cook myself if I didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg for food, and Im very health conscious so I’ve learned what I like and what I don’t with those kinds of things as well. Veggie soup with garlic and onion seasonings and steamed or boiled with marinara and cheese are still my favourite go to’s.
