All Chinese metros are incredible. They are all basically identical too, making your experience in one city easily transferable to any other.
Contrast that with the Tokyo metro system where they have like five different companies operating the metro, causing untold headaches, such as ticket bought in one line not being usable on another and utterly inscrutable ticket machines.
They cherry on top is how cheap it is. 20p for a train ride is incredible
There’s a lot to be said about standardizing things.
Have been waiting for this for so long! Finally Shenzhen metro video!
In my opinion, Shenzhen transportation system may as well be the most underrated out of the “big” systems around the world. Overshadowed by Tokyo and others. Which is very unjust as I think it has a world class incredible system for a such a rapidly expanding city.
The speed the rail system in Shenzhen has been developed is really the most impressive aspect in my opinion.
Special economic zone, is a special economic zone. Shenzhen was and still is a hub for foreigners from both the imperial core and outside to deal with tech business relating to China. Just talking about huaqiangbei gets my skin crawling, one of the biggest markets for electronics, both cheap and expensive ones.
