Most cheeses were never cheap.

Get some government cheese at the food bank. Some people don’t like it and will give it away free.

where i am in wi, dairy prices in general are about even with the overall inflation rate over the last five years (since before covid). shopping direct at a dairy, though, seems to be up higher than that.
