Most of what you said is factually incorrect. You can get nearly all nutrients you need from just eating the right amount of fruits, veggies, grains and legumes. The only supplements you need are:

    • B12. Non-vegans only get this from animal sources because the animals are given supplements on their behalf. It used to come from bacteria, but sanitization basically eliminated that. Also, many plant-based foods are enriched with B12 these days
    • D3. Most non-vegans should probably take this as well, due to lack of sunlight.

    The rest?

    • Iron: lentils, spinach, tofu, chickpeas, kidney beans
    • Iodine: iodized salt, seaweed, zucchini, cashews, peanuts, mushrooms
    • omega-3: brussel sprouts, flax seeds, seaweed, spinach
    • protein: tofu, lentils, nuts, chickpeas, beans, green veggies, seeds, peas

Everything I listed is pretty cheap, and readily available in most grocery stores. And it’s not high-carb. And it’s high-fiber, which has been shown to reduce inflammation in the body which has all sorts of benefits.
