What language do you suggest they write their charter in?

If they were doing it appeal to westerners, english. Like Israel does with their PR releases.

Why do you think they changed it in 2017?

The party changed its makeup and gained a more nuanced understanding in the 30 years since it was founded.

Israel isn’t a party. Likud didn’t though, because their charter isn’t a propaganda piece.

Because neither Hamas’s charter or Likud’s for that matter are propaganda pieces aimed at the west, they’re for arabic speakers (or hebrew speakers in the case of Likud) to look at and understand how the organization works and its aims.

Do you think they assume that no westerner will ever be able to read them, because they are in some super secret language?

Do you think everything foreigners do is a performance for us? When you’re running a local political party, you need to appeal to locals more than anyone else.

It does, but to pretend they wrote their charter for you is silly.

Otherwise, they’d have people joining and thinking that’s what they stand for, and even members using the document for guidance.
