    DST is sprung forward. It happens in the summer. Standard time is what the northern hemisphere is on now in the winter.

    Fun fact. In the winter the sun is pretty close to its highest at Noon but I the summer that happens at 1:00 pm.

      I suppose it makes some difference how far East to West you are in your timezone too, but this time of year I’m dark on my way to work and dark on my way home, if we were still in DST I’d have an hour of sunlight still after work. It’s only about 6 weeks that are that extreme for me but I’d still prefer DST. And I love the long summer nights when it’s light until almost 10 lol
