Do you just mean an easy way to close tabs accessed via the vertical sidebar? I’ve been using this custom FF theme which has an option for a close tabs button alongside tabs when you hover over them. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + W to close the current tab
Unmentioned is first class vertical tabs. It’s still experimental, so you have to enable it via about:config. Set
sidebar.verticalTabsto true.anyone have expand-on-hover thingy to recommend? can’t close an item in the sidebar with minimal clicking.

I use middle click to close tabs.
