I cannot describe the relief when I discovered that I didn’t just uncontrollably soiled myself.
The bag lasted for 3 years, so I guess it’s time to buy a new one.
Bladder problems are the worst
I would say that stomach problems are even worse.
It didn’t burst, it performed an emergency cooldown operation.
Well this is one way to look at it, but since I had Ionic drink in it, I was more sticky all over rather then cooled down.
Why put sugary water in a camelbak?
I’ve had good experience with Isostar, so I’ve been using it during my long runs.
How many grams of carbs per litre works for you on longer runs? Trying to dial mine in for multi-hour efforts.
What do I do, is that I mix half a liter according to instructions on the box. This lasts me 10-15 Kms. If I run more, then I just double it
That looks like 88g carbohydrates per litre, as 70g of sugar (sucrose and glucose, unclear ratio) with 18g maltodextrin.
I’ve been using 85g sugar per litre, so pretty much exactly the same. That’s reassuring. So that litre would cover two hours of running, with about 30g carbs every half hour.
Sounds about right

Not sure how tough you’ve been on the pack but it may be worth letting them know - you may not have to buy a new one.
It was actually not this brand, but Ospray.
Also famously flexible warranty, https://www.osprey.com/us/en/customer-support/return-authorization
I messaged them, and they are sending me a new reservoir! Thank you for this information.
Oh, I didn’t know that! Already received a new pack, I will have to check how is it with warranty in europe, and will return and try to claim warranty. Thank you for the info though!
