While that’s a good point, housecats still aren’t native to most places humans live. If you had befriended a native wild species of cat, that would be different, especially if you didn’t feed it and it just did its thing during the day to get a meal. However, a typical housecat isn’t hunting for food, but for sport, and they have a voracious appetite for killing.
