The plastic face scratches very easily- I’ve had to buff out 2 scratches in 3 weeks, so I feel like it won’t have much longevity for daily use. It’s also kinda loud, and can be audibly heard clicking every single second when you’re in a quiet space.
maybe worth a listen…

I would go crazy with hearing the ticking, but it does look great.
Man, that colorway looks beautiful though!
Agreed! Found this when I went through the Swatch back catalogue on Etsy. They have SO many watches going back decades!
Is the face color changing? Do you know any details about which variant/color it is? I’d be really curious to look at it more online!
This one is the New Gent Polapurple, SUOK712
It’s from the 2018 line-up, so you won’t find it in stores, though other versions of the “New Gent” line can be similar, with different colors etc.
The face doesn’t really change colors; it’s more that the coating on the plastic changes the color that’s reflecting based on angle, kind of like a CD :)
Ahh, gotcha. It looks absolutely beautiful!
There’s a Europe only Casio a1000 variant I’ve been thinking about someday getting with a similar sort of lens coating
I like it!
Is it a plastic (other than resin) or resin?
Pretty sure this one is just straight up plastic. It’s SO easily scratched
back in the say we had rubber bras over the watch faces to protect them, and they do tick loudly. expect discoloration on the clear plastic too.
Oh snap, discoloration? I guess that makes sense due to skin oils and whatnot. Darn.
most likely it will yellow due to UV light exposure. it’s still a cool watch 😎
What body part is that on?
Nose
Your comments summarise every experience I have had with swatch
LOL, I have 3 by my bed. TICK TICK TICK TICK
Are all three ticking in sync, or is it a cacophony of mis-timed clicks?
