    I am a little surprised at this, despite the article noting that the trigger was Italy’s high contribution to UNIFIL - considering Meloni is right-wing, I am surprised she didn’t just try to pull Italian manpower out of the region. Would love to hear educated context.

      I’ve heard that there’s a lot of sympathy for the Palestinian cause in Italy, so that might be part of it as well.
