democrats don’t bother to understand why people aren’t voting and; even when someone educates them on why; they still don’t bother to do anything about it.
living in texas has taught me that republicans do bother with understanding and also take actions to “protect” texas.
not even the DNC is bothering to provide full support for texan democrats so it begs the question: what are democrats expecting when they’re not trying anywhere near as much as the republicans are.

i had a similar suspicion since i get the same thing and the speed at which it happens makes it clear that they’re using something like an API.
that means that the admins of .world are aware of it and turning a blind eye towards it; which is surprising considering how they’ve publicly called out other admins from other instances for doing similar underhanded things.
You make some good points. I don’t know much about scripts or bots or API. But it is weird how quickly many of my posts and comments get downvoted, even in other communities. And in fact, many in those other communities often wonder why I get so many downvotes since it’s unrelated to content or context.

i bring it up because reddit didn’t used to care about up/down votes either; but now they’re a requirement for many of it subs and i wonder if .world is going to go the same way to prevent messages like this from getting to their users.

I’d love for this instance to do away with up/down votes. But so many here like to use it as weapon, I don’t see that changing.
