It seems unreasonable to get so angry at someone for starting to see reason. Yes their position is contradictory, but their condemnation of Hamas is probably just knee-jerk or out of fear of “civil-society”/hasbara harassment.

my family lives in iran. if my family gets bombed its because people like that refuse to say what they know to be true out of the fears you pointed out but that applies to all of us too and we aren’t going around saying hamas is evil for defending themselves
