    It also increases the resistance of the wires. Youre unintentionally limiting the current that can run them, reducing your max volume and gain, so ya know

      I think the effect would be noticeable if the cable was 100m long, while interference has a bigger impact on the overall sound

        I live off grid so while not an electrical engineer I know more than an average layperson.

        From my battery bank to my inverter, a span of 3 ft, all I needed to do was twist my cables once to make it so I don’t spark at my terminals. One time.

        I was running some speaker wire a couple feet from a battery to a DC light and I took my drill, put both wire ends into it, and spun it taut to take up slack, thinking I was smart. It was half as bright as when I originally hooked it up. Needless to say, it’s had much more an effect than I initially thought it would too

        Try it both ways, undo it and test the parameters. I’m actually really curious as I planned on building a cedar solid body (from some old growth that had become a danger so I had to remove it) and a semi hollow with some salted maple burl and purple heart I’ve been saving. Lately I’ve been acquiring the necessary components, im spinning up my own humbuckers, routing out some space for some internal motherboarding/touch sensor array, so shielding, resistance/impedance have actually been on my mind quite a bit. I’m considering a solenoid to isolate the coils and send each off to different amps, (one wirelessly). Idk, plans aren’t finalized yet, I got lots of ideas.
