And the only thing Fear has to fear is Janeway.
I don’t know if this is a hot take, but I love that episode. Anytime Star Trek took what is essentially an emotion, gave it form, and interacted with it, I found it fascinating.
Not a hot take, the truth. Doing abstract things like that is where Star Trek excelled.
One of the best Trek scenes of all time: Fear: “I’m afraid.” Hologram Clone of Janeway: “I know.” Fear: “Drat.”
Fade to black.
Moral of the story: The only thing you have to fear will be born in Indiana and her name is Kathryn Janeway.
I keep thinking about the killer clown from the Orville episode Firestorm. Which was basically the same thing - a manifestation of fear.

It’s also worth noting that Voyager alum Brannon Braga directed that episode of The Orville.
I was young when this episode came out and it absolutely terrified me. I still find it scary to the point where I’ll turn it off sometimes when it comes on. Great ep though, and Janeway is a badass.
I don’t blame you, it’s very disturbing!
It really did freak me and wifeypoo out
