Hence the North now has two ethnic groups: descendants of the planters and descendants of the aborigines.

I’m Irish but I know there’s Protestants in my family line… plenty of us “Celtic” Irish are descended from colonisers too. refusing to admit that is pretty cringe, what are you the one true Irishman? it’s more meaningless of a distinction than ever these days now that we’re white too.
