See the president of Bulgaria has very limited role in the actual ruling of the country, in that sense whatever he says doesn’t really matter since the actual government is very pro-west. On the other hand that’s not such a bad thing because it kind of balances the political scene. We’ve had a pawn president before and that was an absolute clown fiesta.
I’m not going to sugar coat it though, it is what it is - there are plenty of people (mostly older people) who are very pro-east around here, we even have a pro-nazi party in the parlament.
If that happens, I wouldn’t be against letting Russia expand into Bulgaria and Hungary next.
After all, why should Europe pay for their defence while they wantonly provoke Russia with their existence?
