He’s ranting on Elon Musk’s X.com right now about how GDQ is the perfect example of “go woke, go broke” and that they should unban RwhiteGoose.

Karl Jobst essentially started making the exact same kind of video to rwhitegoose for a couple years, so that’s a good one to check out. I like the stuff he makes now too but he literally did a bunch of “history of a specific GoldenEye level world records” videos too.

I knew I was forgetting one! I scrolled through my subscribed list and didn’t see him (must’ve scrolled over). Karl Jobst is solid as well, seconded.

Karl isn’t the best either. He was on the discord server with RWhiteGoose and was a “white people should be able to say the n-word” guy. He does seem to have rehabbed a bit though.

I remember some people were mad at Karl for stealing the speed running video shtick and not sticking his neck out for his buddy. I don’t know anything about Karl personally tho, I just love the speed run cheating investigation videos. They are always really interesting intestigation stories and also the technical stuff isn’t too beyond my comprehension (like I also like to watch displaced gamers and retro game mechanics explained, but some of the videos I don’t actually understand because I don’t really know how code works lol)

Yeah, I still watch Karl because the technical aspects of how speedrunning cheaters get caught is fascinating to me. Just mentioning that he isn’t entirely unproblematic. I can’t think of any speed/challenge run creators where I know anything about them outside of their content and it’s a good thing lol.
