    I read from a user here that one of the first Ukrainian organizations in Canada was socialist and pro USSR. But then after Canada took a liking to the Nazis and the USSR collapsed, they dialed down the socialism and just focused on providing people in Canada a place to experience Ukrainian culture because they were getting threatened and harassed by the Nazis
