I wasn’t able to get it checked out earlier in my adult life due to being a independent contractor for so long (american healthcare… yay). Now though, I’ve got the time and the insurance to cover everything. It’s actually a relief to know that it’s not just me being incompetent.
Now I wait for a prescription and hope that sets me on the right path.
Congratulations.
I think I might have ADHD and autism, but so far I only has an autism diagnosis.
Is not like I want to collect diagnosis’ but im pretty sure that there is some adhd on me.
My understanding is that its a super common comorbidity (for people with Autism to have ADHD too, not the other way around)
I got mine a week before I turned 41. Afterwards my family remembered a doctor told them I need meds when i was 5 🫠
bro… thats messed up.
I got diagnosed at 36. Not super responsive to the meds, but I also can’t take a high dose. It did help my anxiety a lot though, both the meds and also knowing that I’m not just lazy.
Congratulations! I got a diagnosis this year with 36. It really made so many things make sense. And it really made me less anxious.

It’s good to hear people are getting the help they need.
Congrats! My partner is currently waiting to get tested for ADHD after realising at the age of 34 that maybe she has it and it’s not just other problems or incompetence.
Getting checked is the first step. I hope she gets some answers soon.
Nice, congratulations! Hopefully you find it helps! How long until your Rx is available?
I’m waiting for an appointment with my psychiatrist to talk about what would work. Hopefully in 2 weeks I’ll start and I can begin the process of dialing in a dosage.
My husband only found out he has ADHD at 46. Suddenly a lot of stuff is starting to make more sense to him about why he has struggled with certain things throughout his life. The meds have been helping too. Hope you get the help you need!
When I first realized that ADHD was a potential cause, it was like a light turned on. I watched some videos on symptoms to see if it lined up. Let me tell you, it is surreal hearing strangers describe your life to you. Glad he could get it addressed.
I was diagnosed at 34. It was pretty much an entire year of a mixture of relief and disappointment that it took so long to get the care I needed to help me manage the symptoms. Glad you have your answer, finally! Now have fun getting yourself educated AF about it. You got this!
So many rabbit holes, so little time.
Congratualations! You beat me, I didn’t get one until 38.
But you still got there, and we can all help each other
