    I noticed that too while reading the article. I’m curious if part of the play for federation is to allow them to have access to better regulated markets and users without having to make changes on their side. If I can read content from Threads but my home instance is EU-based, they wouldn’t necessarily need to comply with any EU laws since I’m not signed up on their instance directly.
