I finally figured out that by showing up unshaven and half asleep on my first day, I set the bar nice and low, and kept expectations to a minimum. Just being punctual, reliable, and civil made me Employee of the Month material.

Pfffft my brother got a job on a farm in 1991 and loved it cos he could get stoned and drive about in his tractor all day. He’s still there, and still stoned. Rambles a lot of insane nonsense mind you, that stuff really fucks you up long-term
