    Funny how this one update is causing more pandemonium than the Y2K bug even thought possible.

      I dunno. Y2k was Armageddon type fearmongering. The impact of crowdstrike was big, but only really stopped things for a day or so. Definitely not the “planes falling out of the sky and global banking crashing” type of shit promised for Y2k.

        A shitload of work went into preventing Y2K from having the impact people worried about.

        It wasn’t all fearmongering.
