Ugh… they need to be careful who to make friends with. Neither Rio Tinto nor the current Serbian president are ones you would normally want to be associated with and apparently the mining project is highly opposed by civil society in Serbia. This “pact” seems to do nothing to resolve the issues identified by environmentalists and previously highlighted by protestors either.
