Anybody know where they keep their racks and what security is like?
This is just off the strip, right next to Caesar’s Forum, which is where DefCon is usually held. The casinos are not oblivious about cybersecurity anymore, they’ve been exposed to some of the world’s best hackers on an annual basis for almost 3 decades now. No security is perfect, but I seriously doubt it’s lax.
I saw ‘Postcard from Earth’ there. It was fine for a tech demo but nothing more than that really. Left feeling that it was worth experiencing once, but not so amazed I’d rush back to see something else. I guess that’s true enough for a lot of stuff in Vegas.
Congratulations you don’t have any fucking healthcare.
Based on the spec sheet about 1.6% would be powering the GPUs at full power, I’d be willing to double that for their cooling (though that’s a fairly liberal estimate). Where is all the other power going, is it powering the screen itself?
Massive amounts of LEDs
even accounting on how efficient led bulbs are?
Well, you need network tech, peripheral control computers and servers to house the gpus, but definitely yes.
What does it do? Other than waste energy?
