Yes. This is why it doesn’t work without unions. Without them it’s a varying degrees of slave shop. Is Meloni interested in that, I don’t know. Haven’t read on her stance on unions.
This is the work of Italy’s current right-wing government. Italy also is a member of the Belt and Road initiative and we know they have agreements with China to allow surveillance of Chinese expats by Chinese police officers.
I’m betting unions are anathema.
