I suspect that big names like Deadpool and Wolverine will probably still get butts in the seats. But I’m not sure it will change the general burnout I hear people have been having with the superhero movie genre.

Though… I might be a biased. Personally I never really got the appeal of going to see all these superhero movies that were getting released.
A superhero movie every now and then is fun, but I’ve always thought that Marvel was overdoing it quite a bit with the sheer quantity of them.

It’s not superhero fatigue. That’s dumb.
All they need is an actual good movie for it to be the biggest marvel movie in a long time.

The fatigue comes from boiling it down to a formula they kept repeating instead of allowing for talent to have their own voice.

Well, in this one the talent had a big hand in bringing this whole movie together, didn’t they? RR helped write it, he executive produced it, his production company, Maximum effort is producing it. His chosen yes-man director is directing. I work in the production world, he’s a major creative power.

I agree. I would happily pay for a movie ticket to watch something that had the spirit and intelligence of Logan or Joker, but I doubt that’s going to happen anytime soon. I’m tired of having my intelligence insulted.
