For me naps are always because of some kind of sleep debt. I’ll be awake for 30 hours and then hit a fucking wall and zonk out for an hour. I worked swing shift and graveyard shift for my entire 20s. My sleep schedule is still fucked up.

i’ve had sleep debt since a preteen, my first day of high school i stayed up over 40 hours because of summer homework i avoided, and 30 hours is all too familiar to me :(

i’m often sleep deprived and feel like shit, but if i closed my eyes my thoughts and impulses wouldn’t quiet down. i might have adhd or something, trying to get tested

Honestly I have mild sleep apnea I think due to a very slight overbite my lower jaw will slide back and block my airway sometimes when I sleep (not overweight). So I’ll sometimes nap during the day simply because I’m sleepy due to the apnea.
