I have been on the edge with twitter and reddit for a while and I have finally deleted my accounts that I have had for a very long time there. They are no longer the places I used to know, even more so with twitter. I am ready for my new time here and on mastodon.

I’m really struggling in getting used to Mastodon. Already created two accounts in two different instances but couldn’t follow any interesting accounts or whatever.
What are you struggling with?
I can’t find a good instance + people to follow.
There are several. I recommend one of the larger instances. Plus depending on the client you use in the search it will recommend accounts. Also, use hashtags of your interests and if you see people saying anything of interest just follow them
Check out and follow @FediFollows@social.growyourown.services they promote a lot of interesting or notable accounts, most of the time theme based. They also have a directory at sorted by topics. https://fedi.directory/

You should have a go at following hashtags instead of users. You’ll find it much more interactive and interesting.
