On the web pages of instances I’ve visited, there is a “Communities” button that leads to an alphabetised list of all local communities. Am I missing this feature on Memmy or does it currently not exist?

Absolutely love it bar the above though; a fantastic piece of kit. Getting used to a federalised medium will take some getting used to but Memmy fits the bill for me.

Doesn’t exist. I also think it would be great to search for instances and then browse their communities in-app.

I think maybe Lemmy doesn’t support this though currently? Could be wrong.

Actually I believe it does. I’ll look into this and put it on the roadmap of things to add going forward.

I see. Bit of a shame; in terms of “getting into” Lemmy it makes me think that the web option is better.

Still, that doesn’t detract from the app experience once communities have been subscribed to. Nothing to stop me using both for now of course.

It’s early days. Most apps aren’t even in the App stores yet.

        Things will improve I’m sure.

Oh absolutely. It’s early days and my expectations are zero. Part of the reason I started this thread was in case I was missing something.

Functionality will build like any app in TestFlight; looking forward to it.
