Which website or app do you use to track new chapter releases? I use kenmei.co ( https://www.kenmei.co/ ) but I’m not happy with the number of supported sites. I also tried Tachiyomi but the updating process often fails due to mangadex call rate limits.

How many manga are you following? At my peak, I had a little over 100 manga from mangadex and I was able to use Tachiyomi to track them without any issues.

Way beyond 100, probably closer to 500 or 1000. Thats because a lot of series haven’t received a new chapter in the last few years and I’m hoping for someone to pick them up again eventually.

Oof. Yeah, I can see how that might be an issue. You could try creating a tag category for the manga that haven’t had an update in a couple of months and set the tracker to ignore the manga in that tag category. Then just manually update that tag category every couple of months or so for any updates. That should reduce the number of requests quite significantly, assuming you aren’t also reading multiple 100s of manga actively right now.

Edit: Category instead of tag since that’s what Tachiyomi calls it

    Currently using https://aidoku.app/

Its a manga “aggregator” app that’s still in beta but already works very well and supports tons of sites. Very similar to Paperback but the sources are included so you don’t have to search/add it yourself.

I use Tachiyomi for Android. You can pick the sources and it pulls from there. Customizable reader and all. Works amazing!!
