The real politics of this is that nothing will happen unless the US allows it. And so far the US have only allowed continued violence.

There’s too many voters in the US that believe their sky god is the sky god that should rule those lands.

this. providing arms and the empire’s backing to israel is what enables them to bully the entire region.

It honestly astonishes me that even only the christians in that city are so at each other’s throats that they can’t even agree to move a fucking ladder, can only imagine how big the grudges are between faiths.

i like this post, this is a good post.

Rule of thumb for anybody picking up politics. If you’re picking sides you’ve already fucked up.

there are no sides, merely degrees of varying and dynamic inaccuracy.

This is just thinly veiled anti Israel propaganda. One side bombs innocent children, the other is trying to hide and flee.

I’m all for the Palestinian people getting their freedom and lives back and stopping the Israeli government dead in its tracks if not replacing it, but I’m not going to pretend that Hamas is innocent. Just because the Palestinians are victims of the worst crime of this century, doesn’t mean the governing body that rules over them with an iron fist is good.

Obviously the sides aren’t equivalent, but it’s true that not all Jews support Israel and that pro-Palestinian activists aren’t generally antisemitic.

Eh? You know all Hamas has been doing for the past decade is yeeting unguided missiles at Israel. Sometimes they land in Gaza and kill Palestinians, most of them get intercepted, occasionally one makes it through and lands on a random building. That is the definition of an indiscriminate terrorist attack. It serves no military purpose whatsoever. If Hamas had the firepower they would kill every last Jewish person in Israel.

Lol that’s a take for sure. Funny that this is on a post about trying to have nuanced discussion. I guess calling Hamas a terrorist group makes me a zionist, since if Isreal is bad Hamas must actually be good.
