Hello, these rumors are getting out of hand. To make matters worse, they are rejecting Lemmy (the software) because of the rumors about the developers. You really need to do something about this, because the reputation of Lemmy (the software) is in serious danger. Thank you for listening to my concern about malicious rumors.
From how I’m reading that Reddit post, the OP is speaking strictly of lemmy.ml, not Lemmy as a whole and the developers.
Be it true or not about lemmy.ml - I have no opinion as I haven’t looked into that.
I know, but the admins of lemmy.ml also control the whole Lemmy software, so these rumors will damage the entirety of Lemmy, and I don’t want it to be ruined by malicious rumors.

Problem is most people dont know what lemmy is let alone what federation means, a massive reddit thread calling lemmy bad means most people will look at it and say “Lemmy is bad” and wont even try joining a different instance.
