      Yeah, except they do, they did. Why does California have strict gun control laws? Because in the 1960s, the Black Panthers were open carrying, and white folks (esp. police) didn’t like it.

      If a crowd full of armed minorities had invaded Congress when Trump took power, of course hundreds or thousands would have been shot.

        They found and seized three weapons on Jan. 6th. 99% of the guns there were on government employees.

            I should have said firearms. I don’t remember where I read it, but I read that only three people were charged for firearms possession. The story you linked doesn’t seem to debunk that. It seemed relevant to the thread because it started with the idea that police don’t mess with armed protesters. Most of the people were smart enough to bring other weapons because of DC gun laws. Which if Democrats ever managed to disarm all the powerless people in the nation, this is a reminder that people without guns can fuck shit up too. I wish Democrats were more left and less anti-gun.

              As the article says, just because three people were charged with having them doesn’t mean they were the only people who had them.
