It’s something I’ve seen slowly starting to emerge over the course of the last year or so. Maybe even longer. There’s accounts that post stories to designed to shock people into thinking India is a terrible place. Like I get it. India does have issues. And it does have issues with sexual violence as well. But its a shame those conversations seemingly cannot be had without resorting to racism. I hope this site us different.
Being critical isn’t automatically racist.
For example, the country where I’ve been groped the most is Egypt, followed shortly by India. That’s not racist.
If I were to say that every indian male is therefore a sex offender, THAT would be racist.
Can you tell me how being overly critical of India as a country is the same as being racist towards Indian?
I don’t see that comment as racist any more than of that said America… Which I’ve seen tons and is correct
Nope. Haven’t been on Reddit in almost a year.
Probably just more now because the elections make international headlines and Modi has been pulling some weird stunts. It’ll probably die back down.
I just watched a video of a Brazilian couple who went to India… the woman was gang r—d by 7 men. Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBBVQ0rzpEk
