    How do you prepare the chana dal? Looks like tomato sauce?

      It’s split chickpeas that create a pretty good thick gravy when cooked, I like adding a can of coconut milk and some canned diced tomatoes alongside tomato paste with the usual seasonings (garam masala, garlic, ginger, onions)
