    I can’t figure out the draw of these remakes really. Unlike Live Action where we have better special effects or something, in animation there never really were shots you “couldn’t do” compared to the source material. And of existing highly rated series… IDK, just why?

    I guess I also either would be bored because I know what happens or annoyed they changed the story around. And especially for Spice and Wolf where they could have continued cause there’s a lot of source material they didn’t use, but no - remake from what I can tell.

      Well, some people don’t like older animation style, they feel it’s dated compared with more modern styles. Also, the true ending was never animated, it had an anime-original ending which is not canon. So I guess there’s the possibility of remaking the series and finishing and staying true to the manga. Also, hopefully with less filler.

      I agree that the original still holds up, though, but I’m guessing (and hoping) they’re trying to do the whole Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood treatment to Rurouni Kenshin. I’m mostly interested in watching out of curiosity, though.
