If that’s the article OP is referring to, I only see one typo (a missing /c/) and one laughably false error:

Lemmy does not have upvote and downvote buttons

      They don’t say much else.

It’s like someone has told them there’s no karma and they’ve misunderstood. Also kind of misses kbin and Lemmy are federated.

There seems to be something weird about upvotes, I swear it went from 700 to 1600 in like 5 minutes and there isn’t even content on this post, just a title.

yeah, votes are sometimes being cached by the browser incorrectly, to see actual votes go to your profile, and refresh the page

LOL yep if I refresh the page it shows 11 but after I post a comment it jumps up to 1600.

Lemmy reads wrong data sometimes from the backend. That’s why you’ll see your username flash to someone else’s username sometimes, or the vote count on the post you’re looking at go to the totally wrong vote count. Sometimes it replaces the actual story you’re reading with some totally different, unrelated story.

IDK man, I have trust that as part of the work they’re doing working on any massive number of innumerable minor issues with the platform, fixing that is somewhere in there. 🙂
