Teach them about our way of life so that they will not suffer the shame of being useless.

I shamelessly use Linux Mint with Cinnamon pre-installed. I imagine my experience is closer to the classic Windows experience than Windows 11 right now lol.

Oh God, this reminds me of myself when I disowned my Windows OS and adopted the UNIX life.

…And to be honest, that attitude is part of why I stick with Windows. I know Linux has its value, but the ‘normie’ option is comfy and safe.

Tbh, I feel like it’s a loud minority tho. The majority of linux users (also happen to be the quietest) are “normies” that use Ubuntu and don’t have this type of attitude.

It’s true. Computer noobs can use ChromeOS and not even notice, but you give someone who plays modded Minecraft on Windows a shot on Linux and they’ll be exhausted from everything they need to relearn

I started experimenting with replacing Windows with Linux (mainly EndeavourOS) about 6 months ago and it was great! Gaming worked well enough except for a few games that I would just switch back to Windows for. The only issue: I recently bought two HDR monitors and have gotten so used to that experience that I just can’t use Windows right now. As soon as support for that drops, I’m once again switching to Linux as my main!
