In doing so he claimed he talked to the victim’s family. - He did not.
This also triggered a Republican anti immigrant DC stink tank to attempt to label Kent County where it happened as a “sanctuary city” to amplify political points - It is not.
The perp also ended up taking refuge in a church. The church took him in not knowing about the murder. Just he really fucked up and knows his family wouldn’t take him. Stayed the night. Then called to confess from the church and turn himself in.
