Good news coming out of DC yesterday.

    I like this on several levels. One, it’s easier for me. Two, it’s better for Chinatown. Three, it’s not as wasteful - always better to reuse than it is to start over (I know Cap One would have remained in use, but this is still better).

    When I visit Europe, I always marvel at just how many old, unremarkable buildings are still around and in use. Or, for another example, Berlin still has and uses the Olympic stadium from when Hitler hosted the games. Here in the US it feels like we toss those things after 20 or 30 years and start over.

    I do still have the concerns about taxpayers paying for private buildings like this, but that’s not going to end any time soon.
