Tl;dr they all support both sides so no matter the election they always get what they want.
For tax purposes and to lobby for pet projects, yes they lobby both sides. Some corporations lobby for ideological issues. You will find that the vast majority of them get republican support. Plenty of not-for-profits lobby the left as well but you’re not buying their products and paying for ideologies you may not agree with.
It’s why I stopped voting, because everybody else is voting for either side any way.
Your vote is yours to throw away if you want to.
But it’s kind of an insult to everyone who fought to let you do that.
No, what is an insult is the American electoral system where at the end of the day, your individual vote means nothing. Your so called representatives do not work for you. They only represent you only paper. They are there to enrich themselves through corporate dollar and stocks, because capitalism and individualism.
Our votes do nothing to impact politicians or policy. The needs of capital will always be addressed while we get left over table scraps, that inevitably still benefit capital.

Joseph McCarthy wants his old tired Russians everywhere tropes back. Democrats voted against Trump and got his policies anyway. Hows that worked out for ya?
The trick is to pick the lesser of the two evils.
50 years of that has produced an evil so large we don’t even recognize evil any longer.
And not voting will solve that how exactly?
Doesnt hurt, doesnt help. Voting is more an illusion of participation, complete with an “I Voted” participation trophy.
Inaction is worse than picking the lesser of two evils.
My inaction isnt getting Palestinians killed, my inaction hasnt caused the highest spike in homelessness ever seen, my inaction isnt causing a rise in suicides, my inaction isnt causing stagnant wages. If allowing the deaths of brown people is seen as the lesser evil then there is a serious problem with the mental health and empathy of Americans. If the tables were turned and Trump was currently in the WH, liberals would be calling out all the injustices they are currently turning a blind eye to. But the lesser evil they accept year after year, decade after decade, has grown so enormous they can no longer see evil for what it is. They have become the evil they claimed they were voting against
People here missing my point: vote with your wallets!
The issue with that sentiment is that a significant amount of the population simply can’t afford to be picky. They buy the cheapest available version of whatever they need because that’s what they can afford. All of the power of consumer choice is slowly being stripped away as more and more people are pushed into poverty, and that’s by design.
There is 0 reason this should be an app. Stop making shitty apps and just have proper websites.
To be fair you can get to the list on the site.
You should know that this app has a shit ton of trackers and ads … GTFO with that shit
Politicians should wear company logos like racing drivers so we know who they are sponsored by.
Second time I’ve seen someone mention Mystery Men in three days. This is Amazing
It’s an amazing movie
You’re Amazing
Doesn’t say it, but looks like it’s USA only.
Companies openly giving money to politicians is USA only. In other countries it’s bribery and corruption.
Per Anthony Kennedy and a completely fair and impartial republiQan-aligned Supreme Court, money is just another word for free speech.
Corporations are people, my friend.
Unless they’re responsible for a crime, then suddenly they’re a faceless abstraction, and you can’t charge those with anything silly!
It’s the only way I support the death penalty, it’s just too bad none of them have been condemned
Be that as it may, not mentioning which nation the topic applies to enforces the notion that the US is the default if no other context is given.
That’s a reasonable notion given how important the US is globally.
PSA: You can make a shortcut and place it on your home screen with most mobile browsers, on Android, and, as far as I know, on iOS. Don’t let people trick you into installing apps for things websites can do.
My man!

It seems to be based on the contributions of employees not the company itself. I looked up a huge tech company and it said Bernie Sanders was the number one politician supported. That’s absolutely ridiculous. Who cares what employees at a company support? Do they control any of the money used for lobbying?
It is, frustratingly.
This site would be fantastic if they supplied product lists and alternatives.

Great site! Thanks for sharing.
Most of the companies I’ve looked up so far are donating pretty equally to both parties. Except Honda, they’re pretty heavily invested in the Democrat party.
Edit: I found one with a perfect score! Kawasaki motors. That’s great, because I love their bikes!
Guess it’s time to stop shopping at Haliburton.
No more Goldman Sachs socks for me.
All 3 major hardware stores (Home Depot, Lowe’s, & Ace’s) donate more to Republicans. Aside from locally owned small businesses, any idea where else to go?
Every company I’ve looked up so far donates pretty evenly split to both parties, usually slightly favoring the Republicans, including the ones you listed. The only company I’ve found that is heavily Democrat is Honda. Sorry, that doesn’t answer your question, but the point I was making is that they are funding both parties. What does that tell you? That they don’t really care who is in charge. They only care that they have influence over whoever is in charge.
Coscto is like 98% Democrats 🙂
Costco seems like one of the last companies that hasn’t completely sold its soul to the devil.
Can anyone see the information on this page?
https://www.goodsuniteus.com/brands/#/brand/google
Whatever OS or browser I use, with or without VPN, it’s just a blank page. Same for Alphabet Inc.
Any other brand just shows up like normal.

Thank you! Good job Google!
Major League Baseball?
Shit.
Want everything in your life to be political? There’s a lens for that!
Politics does influence almost every aspect of life whether we think about it or not.
Especially for people in minority groups, where sometimes simply existing as they are is political enough.
Chemistry influences every aspect of our lives whether we think about it or not. Gravity does too. As does complexity and information theory, and the English language, and our clothing, and the fact we tend to build architecture in rectilinear shapes.
All of these things are ubiquitous things that permeate everything whether you think about them or not.
Choosing to think about them is called a “lens”.
Right. Concept of “lens”

Or, you can have sand
The horror that it is when I don’t want to indirectly support policies I don’t agree with.
I bet you probably don’t want to help mass-murdering pedophiles either but here you are exhaling CO2 which will get incorporated into a plant that some mass murdering pedophile will eat.
Just draw in your sphere of concern to that which you can actually affect with a reasonable degree of predictive accuracy.
This way you kill two birds with one stone: you maximize the amount of actual good you create, while minimizing the sort of mental allergic reactions that come from chasing after smaller and smaller, more and more distant and ambiguous causal connections to global events.
Perhaps I misunderstood your use of the word “indirectly support”?
How would you find yourself indirectly supporting bad policies?
You literally can’t even love who you want without it being political; religion, race, gender, sex, class/caste, etc. have all been used by autocratic and democratic governments to prohibit people from falling in love, having consensual relationships, and/or starting a family.
You can’t love who you want to live without a lot of neurological activity too. So neurology is a lens you could view love through. So is religion, chemistry, math, game theory, philosophy, sports, evolutionary theory, etc
People reading this thread: if you do not understand what the concept of a “lens” is in this context, please stop skipping over that fact. Either go look it up, or admit you don’t know. Don’t just barrel forward ignoring my point.
