If it isn’t, /s isn’t going to save folks who are unwilling to take even a few seconds to engage their brain; it’s actually a great filter. In the case of humorous sarcasm, nothing kills the joke faster or more completely than announcing, “dw guys, this cute bit of edginess was not meant sincerely, it’s just a joke!”.
