Well, furry is a big part of my life, but unfortunately I feel like I’m missing out on a lot by but expressing it more.
When I was a teen I loved the idea of wearing a collar and having furry posters all over the walls. And now that I’m an adult in his thirties I dress very vanilla and my home decorations are too. It’s like one of those things you always want to do, but then you need to either negotiate with your partner or explain things… At which I’m very bad.
How does furryness manifest in your life?
Considering the closest thing to a fursona I have is an AI, my current lifestyle is rather cleanly fitting to it.
“Sit in place and aggressively fan yourself, desperately trying not to overheat while doing things”
Clearly, you need liquid cooling!
I don’t have a fursuit or go to cons. I do have multiple plushes of furry characters, art pieces, paintings, and pins on display all around my room. I have a collar and “pup mask” (its actually a unicorn) and other bdsm gear thats furry coded. I’m getting into screen printing and will probably put my ocs on all of my jeans, and if I can get some more comms I wanna get a tattoo of my sona
Soooooo pretty furry I guess akujfhdksu
Fuck yeah. I need to muster up the courage to be like you.
Genuinely don’t mean this as a promo but I do studio art paintings etc, if you wanna have furry stuff up but keep it low-key/ “normie passing” I might be able to give ideas :o? I’m sure you’ll figure it out either way!

Back in 2018, when I made very important conclusions about myself and what I hide from myself, I tried to get out of my closet and started wearing a phone case with Daniel from Weekend comics and a pride pin, which was given to me by my friend and which I was reeeealy scared to wear, and both of these helped me to find my first partner. As for now, I wear nothing like this at all, only my phone and laptop wallpaper can show that I’m a furry, as well as my social networks accounts, in which I have colleagues from my work in friends list.
A boyfriend bought me a collar with a cute tag, but I don’t wear it or anything in public. Honestly I’m in kind of a hostile environment right now and the people around me are the types that watch Ben Shapiro and unironically watch trump speeches.
I have sort of been in this situation a while but I should be moving in a couple weeks in a much more queer friendly part of Long Beach.
Otherwise I keep plushies and stuff around, but they are pretty innocuous (Pokémon, fox beanie babies, etc). I definitely feel it that I just can’t be bothered to have to explain myself to every passerby why I’m wearing cat ears or something.
Not especially furry. I’m fairly open about my furriness but I’m not that interested in meeting other furries or anything, I’m pretty asocial.
Out of anything that “shows” though it’s more my brony side. My avatars on my work slack and gitlab are ponies. I have a small amount of merch around my house. This is my phone case, which my wife doesn’t love
I’m pretty open about being a furry and have three furry plushies on display, some furry pins I do not have a place to display, and some furry stickers on my computer. Plus, my pfp everywhere is a commission of my main sona.
I wouldn’t say my lifestyle is vanilla. And I am in my late 30’s. ( ̄ω ̄;)
I don’t wear a collar because it stands out way to much for someone my age. But I did get a nice fleece jacket with fox ears from pawstar years ago that I enjoy wearing. Also got a foxtail from them too. Wore the jacket and tail to the premiere of Zootopia. But the jacket is showing it’s age at this point because it is so well used. I need to replace it but they no longer sell that style jacket anymore. ( ╥ω╥ )
I did have some furry themed shirts, but they either got to small or got holes in them. Most shirts I wear now are polo’s and generic funny, film, or music themed t-shirts. (눈_눈)
I have plushies I keep around because they are soft cute and cuddly and good for any occasion. Especially when my cousins daughters visit. ( ´ ω ` )
I do have a framed Sonic Mania Poster and framed furry prints hanging over my desk. The only place I keep those kinds of pictures. Mainly for inspiration. (・ω<)☆
And while not exactly furry, their is my kamidana dedicated to Inari Ōkami-sama. Which was both the inspiration of my username and my fursona, Miyagi Tomoe (surname first, given name last.) Which right now is going through some minor edits because coincidentally the markings on Tomoe’s face were way to similar to another Furry’s OC . (メ﹏メ)
I’ve been sort of hovering around the furry community for years trying to decide if I really am furry or just like people shaped animal art, but lately I’ve dipping my toes (paws?) in the community more directly.
So far my irl life is not furry at all, but I have a couple of “secret” furry accounts, for lack of a better word. I don’t live in an environment that appreciates people who stray from the “normal” as defined by some Karen’s Facebook or raving church man and its going to be that way for a few years until I finish uni and can afford to permanently move out into my own place, rather than just an apartment at uni while classes are on.
Maybe I’ll get more into furry culture in the future, as it looks like fun to unleash your inner child and dress up as a fluffy creature with other like minded people.
I’m pretty much a closet furry. Closely guarded secret. No sign at all in my day to day life. Heck, I’m just starting to participate in the community, even if just a little. Pretty at peace with the situation, though.
I occasianlly watch furry content but thats it. I do have over 1000 screenshots of furry content from reddit though.
i am pretty much “out” as a furry in all spheres of my life, but it doesn’t come up that often unless i’m actually hanging out with furries. my apartment has quite a bit of framed furry art in all rooms (and some yiff in the bedroom). i love wearing my con shirts when i’m out and about. a lot of people seem to notice my denfur lanyard that i use for my keys and, thankfully, have been all good experiences explaining what it is to normies xD i also have very, very few normie friends. i think i can count them on one hand.

Is not extreme.
I have a furry phone background, bunch of art up at home and pretty much all my friends are furries. Day to day life though, I don’t make a big deal of it.
Irl, you wouldn’t be able to see it much. I have one of my OCs on my phone’s lock screen and that’s pretty much it. Online it’s pretty obvious from the pfps and even though I only really talk about it in furry spaces, I’m not exactly hiding it in other spaces either.
