Graduate highschool early 2000s tech bust Graduate college great recession Hit peak earning potential, global pandemic and massive layoffs Plus in that time almost total wage stagnation and destruction of pension systems and unions.
I don’t understand how gen Xers have more student loan debt than millennials. They should have been paying their loans down for 20 years by now.
Making minimum payments instead of focusing on paying down principal.
Back to back financial meltdowns come to mind.
