Ronald got older, his expenses went up and so did his prices; he’s got to pay the McMortgage, the McKids, and the McShareholders after all.
Marketing knew people who grew up with it would be likely to keep going in their 50s and later, so they wanted a façade that made it look more “adult” for those people I’m sure.

On the one hand, I miss the play places, but on the other hand I DO NOT miss the insane super colds my kid came down with the next day or two.
I entered a McD about 6 months ago for the first time since I was in high-school, saw the prices, and promptly turned around, WTF happened in the last decade?!
This is why minimalism sucks. Takes away all of the fun
