I keep having to switch to it manually, the app defaults to the “all” feed which seems to only contain this sub.

Not yet, but I’ve heard there’s a few updates coming.
If you go to your username on the top right, and open settings, you can set it in there. It’s listed as Type. I’m on desktop web UI, so it might be different on an app.

Yeah, the default feed settings are in your profile. You can change the default communities and default sort.
