Begründung ist wohl der hohe Moderationsaufwand bei Föderationen mit Instanzen mit offener Anmeldung. Ich weiß nicht was ich davon halten soll, als beehaw-User würde es mich auf jeden Fall glaube ich ziemlich nerven und mich dazu bewegen, mich stattdessen auf lemmy.world oder sh.itjust.works zu registrieren. Ich bin jedenfalls froh, als feddit.de User nicht direkt betroffen zu sein, auch wenn das Ganze wahrscheinlich eher zu mehr Fragmentation führen wird und mich somit früher oder später doch betreffen wird.

Na mit vllt schlechten Comments oder Posts die der feddit-User bei denen gemacht hat. (Mein Standpunkt war ja, dass nur die aktive Teilnahme für User aus schlechten Instanzen gesperrt werden soll. Und bestenfalls sollte das auf Community-Ebene passieren.)
Wieso funktioniert das so? Auf Reddit wird ja **anderen **Nutzern ja auch nichts automatisch auf der Startseite angezeigt, nur weil **ich **ein Subreddit abonniere…
Auf dem ALL Feed erscheint alles, was der server kennt. Das ist nicht alles, was irgendwo auf lemmy passiert, sondern nur aus communities, denen auch jemand beigetreten ist. So wird Last gespart beim Server. So funktioniert Mastodon auch. Deshalb muss man nach manchen Communities erst in der form https://lemmy.world/c/videos suchen, damit der server prueft ob da ein server mit einer community ist. Wenn du danach der community folgst wird dein server diese community also abbonieren und damit erscheinen dann auch neue beitraege zur community im all feed aller Nutzer_innen des servers. Wie bei der federated timeline bei Mastodon.
Dann wäre es ideal wenn man das einfach **da ** (visuell) rausfiltern könnte, statt einfach die ganze Verbindung zu kappen.
Vor allem fuer NSFW themen waere das gut!
Kann auch sein, dass das moeglich ist, die beehaw Leute aber nicht die Streitigkeiten der eigenen User_innen mit denen des anderen Servers zu moderieren. Sorry da bin ich grad unsicher, kann ich mal nachfragen.
