In my experience as a visibly queer person, looks are a pretty unreliable way to judge if someone’s a bigot. I’ve known super redneck-looking allies, and I’ve known glamorous looking queerphobes.
Fair enough, but still, IMO judging someone based on their appearance is kinda rude. It also ends up dipping into classism or other forms of prejudice quite often too.
At the risk of being judgmental myself, one look at the picture of the two responsible people and I was like, “yeah that figures.”

In this case it wasn’t specifically a bigot vibe I was getting, but just plain asshole-coded. Which frequently goes hand in hand with bigotry.
